Analytical Thinking Through Nonfiction

To supplement the teaching of nonfiction features, Carolyn Curley and Ann Anderson of Lincoln Elementary used $1,000 in EFW grant funding to purchase a broad collection of nonfiction/informational books at a variety of reading levels. This collection will help students become higher-level analytical thinkers. Using written assignments during small group meetings, teachers will be able to assess progress and guide further instruction.
